Research Focus

My PhD research focuses on using molecular dynamics simulations to understand the biomolecular interactions between proteins, ligands and lipids that leads to cell receptor activation. The main project within my research is determining how erythropoietin binding affects the orientation of the erythropoietin receptor chains and results in cytoplasmic cell signalling. My work also includes developing and validating new lipid parameters as well as studying how small beta-peptides can self-assemble into visible fibers.
