General setup

• Setting up DHCP/DNS for new computers/MAC addresses on the MD VLAN (#179): WebDNS at ITS (Roy and Alan have access)
• VLAN subnet: 152.98.195.128/26
• VLAN domain: md.smms.uq.edu.au
• The BACS router at 152.98.195.129 provides a firewall that ITS can configure
  • Allowed:
    • Incoming ICMP (ping)
    • Incoming TCP/UDP <ask Matt/AJ/David for the port number> (sshd) from addresses external to UQ
    • All outgoing connections
  • Denied:
    • Everything else
• Printer (HP Color LaserJet 4650) @ 172.23.213.43 (chemistry network) using the command system-config-printer
