Fascin Structure
Initially, analysis was done on the dimeric form of Fascin used for crystal structure analysis. Consultation with Ali Malik, who was dealing with function of the protein uncovered the fact that this protein actually works as a monomer. Subsequent visual analysis of the sequence for chain A and B from the crystal structure showed they were in fact identical and it is likely that in vitro crystalization required dimerism of the molecule. After this was established I modified the pdb to represent only the original A chain and redid analysis with the monomeric (active form) of the protein.
