In conclusion Selenium Binding protein may have a few functions. These functions include a metabolist like function protecting from high levels of selenium, a transport protein in the golgi apparatus, and although there is no hard evidence it is worth a mention that it may be involved as an anti-cancer protein, being linked to prostate cancer.
