MD Group/BmM Group Meetings

This is the current MD Group/BmM Group meeting schedule. This is the most up-to-date version.

• Please do not edit this without informing David
• Please add you talks for archive and reference reasons. This can be achieved by uploading the file (left hand toolbox) and linking to it.
  • If you get complaints about file size being to large - simply click upload anyway.

If you would like someone from another lab to give a seminar, you are welcome to suggest a (some) name(s). In this case, it would be a longer seminar (40-45 min + questions).

• The meetings are held on Thursdays, every week at 11:15 am.
• The speakers are invited to present a research or a literature seminar (or a conference report for example). This is left to their discretion (it's really up to you). Talks are 20 min long each (+ questions).
• For the Journal Club and the Theoretical Seminars, suggestions of articles can be made on a dedicated wiki page.

Joint M2HK meetings

The meetings with J. Hill's and B. Kobe's labs (joint M2HK meetings) are every last Wednesday of the month on Level 5, Hawken Engineering building, Bldg 50 (Dorothy Hill Research Centre, above the engineering library) from 9 am to 11 am. There will be 2 speakers per meeting, with always one from Alan's group. Talks should be 15-20 minutes long (+ discussion).

Welcome to Mango and Melon which recently joined the Computational Fruit Family!
(The Exotic Fruit Farm is growing...)

1. What is happening with the clusters Grape, Ice and Mango? What about Lychee and Melon?
2. AIBN Cluster: usage and misusage
3. Update on Kiwi: from Office 2003 to Office 2007
4. Organization of the Journal Club and of the Theoretical Seminars (maybe better after the retreat to see if there are some specific requests/needs following some talks there)
5. Of the use of the wiki: checking one's seminar slots, adding journal references... In short how to implement a web 2.0 approach into a traditional PubMed web approach in the everyday's life of the lab.
