This page documents how Mitchell build a friendly Ubuntu system.

1. Download Ubuntu 9.04 from the aarnet mirror

2. Wait 10 minutes

3. Burn CD

4. Put CD in computer

5. Boot up

6. Do the partitioning 250MB /boot, 50GIG /, 2.5GIG SWAP, rest /data (rest of the installation procedure accept defaults/use common sense)

7. Let install finish (about 20 minutes)

8. Boot up. Log-in

9. Activate the multiverse/universe repositories

10. Install updates

11. Begin installing stuff Installed Ubuntu packages

12. Time is screwed. Activate ntp (requires a download)
