Genomic, transcriptomic and functional data is available on a large number of proteins from BioInfoWeb, and we shoud make most use out of this additional information. You will have to register before you are able to use it. Follow the link on the left side of the web page; registration is free.

The following types of data are likely available for your proteins:

  • Expression levels in different tissues (SymAtlas)
  • Localisation of expression (LOCATE)
  • Intron/exon structure, transcription start sites (CAGE), alternative splicing

Note that more expression array data are available for mouse proteins and it is beneficial to research both the Human and Mouse entries on BioInfoWeb.

Further functional data may be found through services provided at NCBI, e.g.

This is not an exhaustive list, and if you come across other sited, please add to the list.
