The Coasy gene, which encodes bifunctional CoA synthase, is located on the mouse chromosome 11. It is not close to the other genes of the CoA synthesis pathway (The genes encoding the first and third enzymes of the pathway are located on chromosome 2, and the second enzyme is encoded on chromosme 4) (Symatlas). However, this could be expected in Eukaryotes, and does not necessarily imply that these genes are not involved in the same pathway.
