MD Group Meetings Minutes
20th February 2014
- David - only 3 TB of storage left on /short (Raijin); Kasia to move the data
- Farewell lunch will be on Friday at 1pm (Hawken Drive)
- Some members of the group may be interested in getting an account on Avoca (especially if doing replica exchange simulations)
- The possibility to upload presentations from group meeting
- Speaker: Nihar - talk on cytokine receptors
13th February 2014
- Old backup data will be removed from lychee home.
- Upcoming seminars this year: Crystal29, MM2014, IUPAB, COMBIO, NanoBio Australia 2014, INCOB 14
- Joint group meeting with Debra’s group will be on the 2nd Friday of the month starting from March ‘14. Theme meeting for this year begins on 28th Feb at 9am, conference room not book and will be informed later. We will have Journal Club V 2.0 on the 2nd & 4th Friday of the month starting from this month/march.
- Internet Quota issue will be followed by Evelyne

- Welcome to new members
- David - update on CPU hours left: Raijin 340,000, Epic appoximately 20% left. Only 4 TB of storage left on /short (Raijin). Please clean up your files. When transferring data off Raijin remember to use "username@r-dm.nci.org.au" and for Epic "username@epicdata.ivec.org" and not through the login nodes.
- Mike - TV Display - please provide 2-4 slides that capture your work. Please be text light and movie heavy.
- Group member tasks have been assigned for 2014. Please see the main page of the wiki.
- Potential Chilien PhD student arriving in July. Potential Iranian student. There will be a large number of visitors in the lab just before the IUPAB meeting in August. Jane Alison will be visiting around 13-14th April.
- Agenda Items moved to the next meeting (i) Old backed up data - Martin, (ii) Alan's tricks of the trade - David, (iii) planned conferences for 2014 and updating the MD calendar.
