I did my undergraduate study in Preventive Medicine at Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) in China from Sep 2004 to Jul 2007, after which I started master's studies in Biostatistics with Prof. Hong Yan at Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, XJTU, China. After I completed my master's studies in Biostatistics in July 2007, I joined UQ's SBMS in Aug 2007 working as a research assistant with Prof. Boris Martinac, with whom I started my PhD studies in Apr 2008. Although I had been very happy to work with Prof. Boris Martinac who is an outstanding Biophysist, I found that my major interest is in molecular dynamics (MD) and a group more focused on modeling will be more helpful for my studies. In Apr 2009, I joined Prof Alan Mark's MD group at UQ's SCMB to pursue major part of my PhD studies to look at membrane-protein interactions using MD technique.
